What Materials Can a Waterjet Cut?
Water Jet Cutters use two different types of cutting methods: water-only and abrasive cutting. The water-only method is used on softer materials like foodstuffs, plastics, rubber, and foam. With abrasive cutting, fractured materials like garnet are added into the water to make the cutting action much more effective, allowing materials like steel, titanium, and even composites like carbon fiber.
